Frequently Asked Questions For An Architect In Breckenridge CO

Michael F Gallagher | FAQ

When should the architect get involved in the process?

I like to get involved while you are looking at property. I may be able to assist with selecting a site that best fits your needs.

What are the most important things to look for during the site selection process?

First and foremost is that the orientation and topography of the site are suitable for your needs. Also, be aware of any restrictions from outside parties.

How do we get started with the building design?

The process always starts with the demands and opportunities of the site. Then we look at your requirements and desires.

How do we assess my requirements and desires for the project?

I will assist you in creating what is called a "program" for the project. This is a written description of the important features and attributes that we hope to include. We'll use this as a guide during the design process. I will also ask you to provide photographs and clippings of designs that you like in order to better understand your vision.

I notice different architectural styles in your portfolio. Don't you have a characteristic style?

These are not 'my' projects, but my clients' projects. It is my job to help each client facilitate an architectural style that reflects their unique vision.

Can we work on this project together, with us being so far away?

It is always nice to meet in person and spend some time on the site, however it is quite common for me to work with clients from a distance. If you can receive mail or email, and you can talk by phone, I'm confident that we will work well together.

What if I have a question that wasn't answered here?

Please contact me directly with any other questions that you may have. I will be happy to personally address them for you.
